Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds 2 New Games

The latest update to the Game Pass subscription service adds two new games to the lineup for fans to check out.

Microsoft has updated the selection of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games to include two new titles. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the highest-priced tier of Microsoft’s subscription service, but it also gives subscribers the most bang for their buck. If one is subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, they never have to worry about missing out on any of the new Game Pass additions, as it gives them access to not only Xbox console games, but games released on the cloud and PC Game Pass as well.

Microsoft has now added a new game for PC Game Pass subscribers and a new game that’s available to both PC Game Pass subscribers and regular Game Pass subscribers. Those who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can access both games.

Starting today, PC Game Pass subscribers can play Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, while all Game Pass subscribers can play DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace. No removal dates for either game have been announced at the time of this writing, but generally speaking, games tend to stay on Xbox Game Pass for about a year at a time, so that should give fans an idea of how long they can expect to have access to these particular titles.

New Xbox Game Pass Games This Week

  • Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation (PC) – September 13
  • DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace (Cloud/Console/PC) – September 13
  • You Suck at Parking (Cloud/Console/PC) – September 14
  • Despot’s Game (Console and PC) – September 15
  • Metal: Hellsinger (PC and Xbox Series X) – September 15

For those unfamiliar with the games, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation is a real-time strategy game that originally released in 2016. It was originally just called Ashes of the Singularity, but it was later combined with its standalone expansion pack Escalation to become Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation. The changes and additions made in the Escalation expansion pack helped the game earn much more positive reviews, so RTS fans with PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate should definitely consider giving it a shot if they haven’t played it already.

DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, based on the recently released DC League of Super-Pets movie, is available for Game Pass subscribers to play across the cloud, consoles, and PC. It’s an on-rails shooter game, bizarrely enough, and it earned mixed reviews when it first launched a couple of months ago. However, it being only a couple of months old makes it a rather interesting “get” for Game Pass, and while the reviews were mixed, many were in agreement that it’s a great game for kids to play.

If Xbox Game Pass subscribers aren’t satisfied with Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation or DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, the good news is that they have more new games to look forward to this week. In fact, three day one games are on the way with day one game You Suck at Parking launching September 14, and day one games Despot’s Game and Metal: Hellsinger both launching on September 15.
