A plethora of footage claiming to be early, work-in-progress clips of Grand Theft Auto VI has been put online overnight. Roughly 90 videos were linked on the GTA Forums by a poster named teapotuberhacker, and the videos very much appear to be real. With the game still so far away, it’s important to remember the footage provides examples of something early in development. We won’t be hosting the content directly, but you can view the YouTube video above and view much more through here.
Robbing a diner, the player is given a set amount of time before the cops arrive to steal money from the cash register and take hostages. Once the cops do arrive, a female character and male accomplice steal one of their cars and are told to lose them in order to complete the objective.
Of course, there’s still the possibility this is all fake, but never has the internet witnessed such an absurdly large and detailed leak before. 90 videos of a game still being made is unprecedented, especially for such a big, upcoming title. We’re pretty confident this is the real deal.

Those who are gleaning through the footage say they’ve spotted references to GTA: Vice City, which backs up rumours from earlier this year claiming GTA 6 will be set in Miami. This leak also corroborates suggestions the game will feature a female protagonist alongside other playable characters in a storyline influenced by bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.
The leak makes up roughly 52 minutes of footage. To view the entire thing on YouTube, you can view part one here and then part two through here.
The internet is still scrubbing through footage, so it’s possible more key details will leak in the coming hours and days. While it’s very much a work in progress, what do you make of this look at GTA 6? Spotted any interesting details? Let us know in the comments below.
