Pokémon Go is a very popular game all over the world from Niantic. It is famous because of its augmented reality technology. This lets the players experience the life of a Pokémon trainer in real-life locations through their phones. EGX London 2022 is going to be one of the biggest video game events to date and will occur from September 22, 2022, to September 25, 2022, in ExCel London. Players who have heard of ExCel London might also know that this is where the Pokémon Worlds took place too.
The EGX annual event is making comeback after the pandemic
EGX is the annual event conducted for gamers in London before the pandemic hit. Now it’s back again and Pokémon Go is a part of it. It was first known as Eurogamer Expo as gamers from various countries across Europe came to participate in the event but later it was changed to just EGX. The EGX London 2022 is going to be an offline exclusive event and only the players present at the actual venue will be able to experience it.
Their official account also announced on Twitter that they are going to introduce Lure Modules which players might encounter and will last as long as 6 hours during the 4-day event. Players also need to finish Field Research Tasks and the reason for doing so is that the players will be able to encounter three new Pokémon after completing them.
List of Pokémon appearing in the Field Research Tasks
The Pokémon which are going to appear after the players finish the Field Research Tasks are Joltik, Porygon, and Unown, and here’s a brief overview of each one of them.
This Pokémon evolves to Galvantula and is from a two-member family. It is a dual-type Bug and Electric Pokémon and its charged attack includes Bug Buzz, Cross Poison, and Discharge and needs 50 candies to evolve into its next form.
Unown is a Psychic-type Pokémon and belongs to the Johto region. It does not evolve but it can change into E, G, and X forms which can be caught by the players. Other than that Pokémon has 28 different forms in total.
Porygon is a Normal type Pokémon that hails from the Kanto region. It comes from a three-member family that evolves into Porygon2 and Porygon.
Players can catch these Pokémon in the Pokémon Go x EGX 2022 by completing the Field Research Tasks. When any of the Pokémon mentioned above comes in front of the players and they are confident enough to go into battle with it, they can, and if they are worthy enough they will be able to catch them in normal Poke Balls themselves.
