The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era gameplay will be divided into three sections: a region map for adventuring, hexagonal battle tiles for fighting, and a player mat for customizing your character. During each session, players will select a new region to explore and a new quest to do; the third task will be determined by the player’s decisions during the first two adventures.

Every story arc will be broken up into three sessions, giving players lots of freedom to explore (and experiment with alternative character builds) without feeling bogged down in a long campaign, even if the game itself will feature 30 unique main plot objectives.
