Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Ninkai Taisen, Kaisen~ (Live Spectacle Naruto ~Great Ninja War Outbreak~) is set to make its debut this fall, and a new key visual highlight’s the stage play’s many characters.

The image, which was originally posted by Comic Natalie, is split into two halves; the bottom part showcases the play’s heroes including Naruto (Masaki Nakao), Sakura (Yui Ito), Kakashi (Yuki Kimisawa), Shikamaru (Ryosuke Ikeoka), Hinata (Sena), Gaara (Takeru Naya) and Tsunade (Seshiru Daigo). Ghostly versions of Minato (Ryo Kitazono) and Kushina (Sari Kojima) appear overhead. The top half spotlights Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Ninkai Taisen, Kaisen~‘s villains, including an eerie-looking Kabuto (Yusuke Yata) and an intensely-staring Sasuke (Ryuji Sato). Madara (Seijiro Nakamura) and Obito/Tobi (Daiki Ise), who is credited as the Masked Man, stand menacingly under a full red moon.

Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Ninkai Taisen, Kaisen~ adapts the Fourth Shinobi War arc of Masashi Kishimoto’s original Naruto manga, and it is scheduled to open at Tokyo’s Galaxy Theater from Sept. 17-25. The stage play will then feature at the Kobe Bunka Hall in Hyogo from October 1-10 before returning for another round of performances in Tokyo from October 15-22.

Kishimoto’s series was originally published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from 1999 to 2014. Following the titular orange-wearing ninja, who dreams of becoming the leader of his village, Naruto is one of the best-selling manga in history, alongside Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball and Eiichiro Odas One Piece, with more than 250 copies sold around the world. Studio Pierrot (Yu Yu Hakusho) adapted the series into two anime: Naruto, which covers the first part of the manga’s storyline, and Naruto Shippuden, which adapts the second half. Together, they feature over 700 episodes.

The new key visual for Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Ninkai Taisen, Kaisen~ isn’t the only recent development for the franchise. Notably, preorders are currently being accepted for an epic statue that captures the brutal battle between the Nine-Tailed Fox and the Fourth Hokage. Retailing for $1,199, it stands almost two feet tall, weighs roughly 10 lbs and features an incredible amount of detail. Moreover, Naruto is once again collaborating with Epic’s popular multiplayer shoot Fornite. The new event, which went live on June 23 and will be available through July 7, sees fan-favorite characters like Kakashi, Kurama and Itachi added to the game.

The English version of Kishimoto’s manga is distributed by VIZ Media, and the Naruto anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
