Fallen Dynasty Demo Available Today

Developer Team NINJA has announced that a demo version for its new souls-like game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, is now available to download on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The demo version of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launched today and will remain available for players until September 26 — a total of ten days. The development team has stated that PlayStation and Xbox networks will be required to play the limited-time demo. Fortunately, players don’t need a paid membership to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to experience its multiplayer mode. However, the gameplay of the demo might differ from that of the retail version. You can visit the game’s PlayStation and Xbox store pages to get your hands on the demo.

Those who complete the demo version will receive a Crouching Dragon Helmet that can be used in the main game. Additionally, Team NINJA will host an online questionnaire campaign, allowing players to send their feedback in order to contribute to the development process. It is worth pointing out that Team NINJA did not reveal the reason for the demo’s unavailability on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an action game set in a dark fantasy world where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Inspired by its counterpart, Nioh, the game offers an action-fueled combat experience based on Chinese martial arts, emphasizing swordplay to boost morale against deadly creatures. The beloved producers from Bloodborne and Nioh, Masaaki Yamagiwa and Fumihiko Yasuda, have been working in collaboration to make their dream RPG experience come alive.

Revealed at the Xbox & Bethesda Summer showcase back in June, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the next AAA project from the developers of Nioh and the recently announced Rise of the Ronin. Team NINJA is hoping to make final polishes according to the player feedback by releasing the demo for a limited time. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam in early 2023.
