Boruto chapter 73 spoilers tease Team 7’s new mission

The early spoilers for Boruto chapter 73 have been shared on social media by the Abdul_S172 Twitter page. Whilst leaked spoilers should always be taken with a heavy pinch of salt, this page is known for being typically-reputable when it comes to associated information, news and leaks.

The title of the new chapter is reported to be “Special Mission” and will include the following plot points:

  • Shikamaru, Sumire, Konohamaru and Team 7 meet in the Hokage office – Shikamaru gives everyone an update on what happened between Code, Amado and Eida (this is the first time that Boruto and Kawaki are in the same room since the incident).
  • He tells everyone that Amado was kidnapped and because of this, Code’s limiters had to be taken off. He also shares that Eida has opted to cut ties with Code and is currently on her way to Konoha.
  • Shikamaru then offers a new mission to Team 7 called “Room Sharing”, where Boruto and Kawaki will move in with Eida as her powers won’t work on them – both are shocked at this request.
  • However, Eida is listening in on the entire conversation as she, Amado and Daemon travel back to Konoha on the train. Hearing that she could be sharing a room with Kawaki, Eida starts to blush.
  • Shikamaru then tells Kawaki that Eida is in love with her – as soon as she hears this, she blushes even more than before and her heart starts beating so fast that it wakes up Daemon who was asleep on her shoulder.
  • Sarada then interjects that the core of this mission is surveillance; they have to keep an eye on Eida and her behaviour.
  • Shikamaru adds how in order to find Code, it is important to maintain a positive relationship with her – although they also need to be extremely cautious around her.
  • Cut to Naruto and Sasuke, who are on top of the Hokage building, discussing the plan that Shikamaru is putting to Team 7.
  • Suddenly, Kawaki notices that Momoshiki is standing behind Boruto – Sasuke also notices his presence immediately. The chapter ends with Sasuke having a flashback to seeing Momoshiki in chapter 10.

More detailed spoilers are expected to be shared in batches over the next several days as we move towards the international release of chapter 73, so keep checking back in for the latest updates.
